Receipient of highest New Zealands highest Conservation Award - Loder cup
Lobbied local councils to improve road safety for Oropi residents after family tragedy at main road intersection.
Role model for Horticulture and Community Conservation projects
Undertakes environmental projects to restore and revegetate parks and beaches.
Lead the project of Otanewanuku Kiwi Trust which is set up eradicate preditors from the native bush conservation area to enable Kiwi to re-establish and breed in the Otanewanuku Forest.
Driving force behind commercialisation of Native Plants to encourage planting of bird attracting native plants into everyday gardens to give food sources to native birds.
Encourages local Native plants to be planted in endemic areas.
Supports local events, schools and projects.
